Dr Zoran M Pavlovic is a board-certified, licensed Psychiatrist and a CEO of Heruka Lifescience & Health Innovations, based in Belgrade, Serbia. He is responsible for creation, organization, execution and oversight of all Heruka’s Lifescience & Health Innovations programs and activities.
Dr Zoran M Pavlovic got his MD degree in 1992, and his Board Certification in 2002., both from the School of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. He has 25 years of therapeutic expertise in psychiatry and neurology with a focus on Movement, Cerebrovascular Disorders, Alzheimers’ and Frontotemporal Dementia, Neuropathic Pain, Schizophrenia, Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, ADHD, Aggression, Substance Use and Impulse Control Disorders. Dr. Pavlovic is bringing almost 20 years of CNS clinical research expertise being a clinical trial investigator, medical monitor, medical advisor and a regulatory officer. He possesses a significant experience in Neurology and Psychiatry Protocol Development, Clinical Assessment and Psychometric data Surveillance, and had the opportunity for direct interactions with several Regulatory Authorities including EMEA, FDA and regional/local Ethics Committees in EU countries. Furthermore, Dr Pavlovic served as a CNS disease scientific and medical expert providing services to customers/stakeholders, regional medical organizations, and patient advocacy groups. He took a part as a speaker and presenter at Investigator, Bid Defense, Business Development and Scientific Events. As a Medical Monitor Dr. Pavlovic was responsible for timely planning, execution and reporting of CNS trials within the available budget. His responsibilities also included preparation of study-related documents such as Patients’/Caregivers’ Informed Consents, Psychometric Data Surveillance and Medical Monitoring Plans, Clinical Study Reports, member selection for Data Safety Monitoring Boards, and provision of study-related trainings to internal and external audiences. Dr Pavlovic is Editorial Board Member of several CNS peer-reviewed journals including Annals of General Psychiatry, Journal of Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment, Innovations in Clinical Neuroscience, Open Access Journal of Behavioural Science & Psychology (OAJBSP) and Global Journal of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. Dr Pavlovic published more than 20 articles in eminent peer-reviewed journals such as the official journal of International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP), Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, and official journals of the American Neuropsychiatric Association and European Psychiatric Association. Recently, Dr Pavlovic acted as the Editor of the book “Modulators of Glutamatergic Signaling as Potential Treatments for Neuropsychiatric Disorders”, which describes current and future opportunities for CNS drug development by using translational neuroscience principles.
Prior to his current job, Dr. Pavlovic held the role of a Director of Clinical Assessment Technologies at the global CRO Worldwide Clinical Trials, and was based in Mannheim, Germany. Throughout his career Dr Pavlovic has worked in a variety of settings both in clinical practice, and industry. In his Pharmaceutical and Contract Research Organization assignments, Dr. Pavlovic worked on numerous Clinical Development and Medical Affairs projects within Psychiatry, Neurology and Pain product portfolio. He also had the opportunity to develop and enhance his Leadership qualities by managing European Physicians teams in respective organizations.
Dr Pavlovic is certified Rational Emotional Behavioral (REBT) Psychotherapist and certified Coach by the European Coaching Association. Dr Pavlovic is also a Buddhist meditation practitioner for almost 20 years, and recently he successfully completed Mindfulness Tools Course at the Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts, US. He is also a Fellow at the Institute of Coaching (IOC), Mc Lean, Affiliate of Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA, and an Official Member of the Forbes Coaches Council. In his unique holistically designed Corporate and Individual Wellness Coaching Programs, Dr Pavlovic uses his empathic, compassionate, insightful and engaging approach to train his clients in applying various self-management mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques, so they can lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
Dr. Pavlovic also consults on Nutraceuticals, Biomarker identification, study design, monitoring and reporting of nutraceuticals trials. His main areas of nutritional expertise are Enhancement of Mood and Cognition at Workplace, Neurodegenerative Disorders such as Alzheimers’s Dementia and Parkinsons’, and Mental Health Wealth-Being. One of his major contributions to this field was related to nutraceutical treatment of antipsychotic-induced weight gain published in the official journal of European Psychiatric Association. Dr Pavlovic is a regular Member of the Nutrition Society.
